The Studio Version of Cornbread. (Dave Matthews Band)

It was only available on the European Discs and certain songs were only available on the US Discs. Peeps across the world have been trading their bonus tracks back and forth. Pretty nice of the guy who I instant messaged and instantly sent it no strings attached and no questions.

It is why when someone asks for something I have no problem sending it to them and ask for nothing in return. Pay it Forward as it were.

With that ... goodnight.

In a nightmare, I am falling from the ceiling into bed beside you.
You're asleep, I'm screaming, shoving you to try to wake you up.
And like before, you've got no interest in the life you live when you're awake.
Your dreams still follow storylines, like fictions you would make.

So I lie down against your back, until we're both back in the hospital.
But now it's not a cancer ward, we're sleeping in the morgue.
Men and women in blue and white, they are singing all around you,
with heavy shovels holding earth.
You're being buried to you neck.
In that hospital bed, being buried quite alive now.
I'm trying to dig you out but all you want is to be buried there together.

You're screaming,
and cursing,
and angry,
and hurting me,
and then smiling,
and crying,
apologizing.

I've woken up, I'm in our bed, but there's no breathing body there beside me.
Someone must have taken you while I was stuck asleep.
But I know better as my eyes adjust.
You've been gone for quite awhile now, and I don't work there in the hospital
(they had to let me go.)

When I try to move my arms sometimes, they weigh too much to lift.
I think you buried me awake (my one and only parting gift.)
But you return to me at night,
just when I think I may have fallen asleep.
Your face is up against mine,
and I'm too terrified to speak.

You're screaming,
and cursing,
and angry,
and hurting me,
and then smiling,
and crying,
apologizing.

This song has always done funny things to me, still does and it never fails to leave a lump in my throat.
One to play loud on the old headphones, try be patient with the intro...tis worth it.

I was enjoying the new Fanfarlo album while on a long hike this evening.
I don't know if it's because British Sea Power have been on my mind the past couple of days, but I'm detecting some of those epic elements on there.

This one I really like, 'Ghosts'
I'm glad I could find it.

edit: oh, I just realized it's not the complete song. Still, the best parts of the song are captured.

I just discovered Fanfarlo, I love them!

I love this song

If I crawl across the floor, then i'd be closer to that door....it's too far
never been so far away, just lost the last thought in my head-
what happens now?

It makes me think about being depressed..far away & detached from everything. no idea what it's really about though..

rain goes perfect with a nosdam mixtape
the last streetlights stay on well after dawn
kings fall to pawns he dropped the needle let the song say it
the kind of morgue with a gong to tell you when
but the room's rules will bend and the staff will make you laugh
my dad wore this face in old photographs
calico cats out stare me from behind a junkyard fence
high on khat i let my stare go soft but pretend it's not
when i'm eyed i tounge my bottom teeth
and look at the sidewalk in front of me
and my tennis shoes go in and out of the frame
another sleuth footed empty Y
walking on goose eggs in the mission
swap meet brown 31 fishnet hat cocked to the right
i only played chess once in my life and i lost
looks like a sky for shoeing horses under
looks like a good sky to die under

I would name her rock'n'roll"

Now some of us are weak,
and some endure
And some people live their lives,
with a violence that's pure and clean
But I saw a man cry once,
down on his knees
In the corner of a darkened cell,
and his pain meant nothing to me

But I was younger then,
and young men never die
When I walked out in the sun,
I was strong, clear minded,
and blind.

Don't say a prayer for anyone,
it doesn't do any good
And please don't ask me a question,
I'll just be misunderstood
And if you could step inside me,
you'd feel what hatred brings
And if you saw with my eyes,
you'd see what self-deception means

I was younger once,
and I created a lie
And though my body was strong.
I was self-deluded, confident,
and blind.

Now show some pity,
for the weak of will
Because when we're drinking,
we can never be filled
Show some undentanding,
for the lonely fool
Because when l'm drinking,
l am out of control

No I was never young,
and nothing has transpired
And when I look in the mirror,
I feel dead, I feel cold,
I am blind.

You're screaming, and cursing, and angry, and hurting me, and then smiling, and crying, apologizing.

You're screaming, and cursing, and angry, and hurting me, and then smiling,
and crying, apologizing....

It's got a fantastic string section, a lovely warm vocal, and some moderately profound lyrics.
