My mother and I had a discussion about Sandie Shaw's feet and how she might have gone about making them smaller.
We found;
That neither can the toes or the heels be cut off as they are neccessary
so...how did this happen?

Wha?

My aunt had to have foot surgery, and her feet were shortened in the process. They took one bone out of some of her toes. They are now one joint shorter, or something like that. It's not something I wanted to know very much about.

Did Sandie really do that?!
I think it's possible but why on Earth would someone want to do it? icky! I'd sooner wear size 15 shoe boxes on my feet.

Stops you from slipping on the floor when you've just mopped, it's very handy.

I suspect it's virtie's last day at school pre-xmas (both my teenagers finish today), so any bets she'll be in an English lesson, taking a last, longing look at Gav.

Uh, I completely forgot about it.

She's licking her lips and having good look at Gav for next two weeks. :p

I decided this thread is the successor of Post Whatever... because which is bit too crowded lately.

It's almost exactly 48 hours since she swallowed the wool, so today should tell me if there's a problem. I've already examined the cat poo in the tray this morning (what a lovely way to start the day) and there's no wool in that.

Oh dear.
Hope she isn't distressed about it.

I just remembered that last year today I was on the way to Manchester by coach to see G-Mex gigs because of the bloody fog, most of the domestic flights were likely to cancelled.

In a recording studio somewhere in London in late 1966...

"Sandie, this is your new single."

*plays the piano*

"Whot? Do you insist me to sing this rubbish?"

"Look, your record sale is not as good as Lulu or Petura Clarke, don't be so choosey!"

But Puppet was Eurovision, Kewps. Eurovision knows no laws of taste except its own.

I hear Jarvis has rescinded his offer to get involved this year. I wonder what went on there.

Yep, bit disappointed with hearing about it.
Jarvis was joking with Morrissey and used it for publicity?

Look forward to seeing annual freak show in May. :D

I have absolutely no idea - I can't even remember where I heard it.

I never thought it was a very good idea for the likes of Morrissey or Jarvis to get involved in the competitive sense, at least not as performers, but I'd love to have seen one or better still, both of them, running the thing; Morrissey all stilted facetiousness, Jarvis all "Well, that were bollocks, weren't it?" :)

Hugh posted a thread on off-topic sometime last week, also it was reported on tabloids.

Haha, it might happen in future if the right project such as a film soundtrack which manages to get interest from both of them.

Russell Brand's appearance of promo video will generate more news and gossips?

"Cocker Pulls Out" (:D) I remember it, now.

Ooh, I think there just might be the teensiest clash of artistic personalities if they had to produce something like that together.

The mind boggles as to what Mr Brand would bring to a Moz vid. Maybe he'll join Boz in a loincloth extravaganza....

I saw that film, or its sequel, way back when I was a young 'un. I never saw what people saw in Richard Harris, I must say.

I think 'fixation of loincloths' is perhaps an overstatement; I find entertainment in a wide range of mens' undergarments. ;)

Hehehe, fair enough. :p

It's a considence that Savoy's auction and the film was on TV.

Members of Academy Awards are very harsh on some British actors.
Richard Burton, Harris and Peter O'Toole are deserved to win an Oscar, but they didn't.

That is because they are too busy being "Grrrr!" to make films about themselves. I've actually had a go at floor-wrestling (sort of martial arts variant) and I wasn't too bad. And I was very "Grrrr!" indeed. :D

I can't recall if we've had a Sandie thread on there. If not, it's time to. I have all of her 2006 material, except for a re-recording of Lay Lady Lay, as I already had a version of that.
