Dear God Please Help Me? Those Eggheads are not so tough - I played a quiz against three of them about 8 years ago, and whooped their sorry asses.

The prize money rolls over to the next show if it isn't won...at the moment its about £8000...but a couple of weeks ago one team scooped £70,000!!! It goes up by £1000 each day until a team beats the Eggheads.

Another Morrissey question on Eggheads this evening (I'm sure they must have been inspired by our application form...that's two Moz questions in as many weeks!)

The question was "who formed a successful song writing partnership with Johnny Marr in the 80's?"....MORRISSEY was the middle option....the guy not only got it right but he answered STEVEN PATRICK Morrissey...a fan surely? ;)

I won a programme and missed the grand final by 1 point. 161 I think. I went down to King's Cross, they put me up in some hotel in Wimbledon, and gave an envelope with a wad of cash the next day. Very nice!

Back from the audition.

Finally Suedeheads (Uncleskinny, almareallymatters, TLOTFamousIP, Kitty3780 and myself) met for the first time!

We did a session against the team of In Style magazine who actually still hadn't got a name yet.

Peter brought us Suedehead T-shirts which impressed both In Style and production team.

First we did written general knowlege (5 multiple and 5 non-multiple) in 3 minutes.

1 on 1 session by subject:

Science (Peter, won)

Geography (not my strong subject, lost at sudden death) :o

Arts & Literature (Kitty, won)

Sport (TLOTFamousIP, lost at sudden death)

General Knowledge (alma, won)

Entertainment (Kitty, sudden death win)

At the end we did camera test which we're asked to introduce ourselves.


Sadly Jukebox Jury couldn't make it today, but we have rising stars Kitty and alma no need for worrying. ;)
Suedeheads has great presentation, team name and lively atomosphere which is a vital element for a TV programme and pretty confident to be selected for actual recording in few months time.

It was really lovely to meet all of the team. :)

However, I must admit that I was the most under-performed and ill-prepared team member, if we aren't selected, it's all my fault. :o

Also - as a hick from the fielded provinces, it came as a bit of a shock to witness a hammer attack in Shepherds Bush, outside the cafe in which we gathered to discuss tactics. A bloke walked in front of a car, the driver braked, and bounded out of the car with a hammer (which he just happened to be carrying), and set about the pedestrian. The perpetrator protested his innocence, despite there being at least 50 witnesses, and was carted away in a paddy wagon. Madness.
