A member is telling me that i'm not allowed to upload official bsides in the forum and i want to know if it is allowed (or not) to upload (or share) official bsides or official songs in the forum?

he is telling me what the hell is my obsession...

What the hell is your obsession with this song anyway? How many live versions of this song do you need?

Apart from live apperanaces and bootlegs there is no "Official" live version of this song.

I say technically it is allowed. I've never seen a moderator or administrator step in and tell people they should stop uploading commercially available (or formerly commercially available, such as Get Off the Stage or the long version of Will Never Marry) songs.

Mmmm. i'm a most fan and i support uploading official material with one exception: there are many official material ONLY available in the UK. For example Mexico, if i want to listen to the normal version of moonriver i can't buy the cd single in stores cause it is only sold only in the UK. The same happens with ALL MOzz singles and the live digital releases.

I will never upload a full CD album (ringleader of the tormentors CD for example) or any official album cause you can find them in stores.

There's no rules against it you can't stop people doing it...i say don't upload the new singles the usual "C.D single 1" and "C.D single 2" that kind of thing...the ones that matter....but i don't know what to think of these download only tracks....i find them annoying and just a way to make a quick pound or two..i don't know someone argue FOR them please at least then i might see a point to them.

Most fans will probably buy most things in time when they've got the money. Tracks that only are avaible on vinyl is, in my opinion, ok to uplaod since most people (including me) don't have the stuff to rip a vinyl. Therefore people like me don't have the YATQ b-sides in mp3 format, only on vinyl (upload:rolleyes: ).

Why not post Mozzer's whole back catalogue and no one will have to buy anything?

Im sorry that I dont have the money to buy a single released 15 years ago just so I can hear a song or two. I support Morrissey, I have all his full length EPs, and I buy what I can.

imho everybody who registered here actually IS a die-hard-fan and also i think everyone is very pleased, to buy singles in 3 formats, re-issues, re-packages and everything else released by morrissey. on the other side i see the problem to get the older stuff - i had to pay a lot of money to get most of the stuff. but not everyone is that blessed that he can handle such a robbie-williams-esque output with an average income.

moz fans (mostly) seem to be the people that value a physical medium such as vinyl or cds - but in some countries it's really, really hard to find the (mostly exorbitant over-priced) old records. i think we should try to get that songs out to everyone and believe, that 99,9% of the people here go out and buy the shit if the have the possibility - let's just be gentle and kind - to morrissey by giving him our hard-earned money but also to this community.

I don't think anyone was trying to make that point.

but if you want to be that technical then you could say yes it is supporting Moz bcause the ebay seller forked out money for the record and the buyer is reimbursing the seller.

I just like buying records and owning them rather than downloading.

each to theiir own. I don't believe these people who complain about unavailability or certain records in their own country when you can order anything online.
