I just read about a rocking electric version of this song, dumped in favour of the sublime version that appears on Vauxhall & I. Does this song exist in file sharing format? I would be grateful (as would many others I am sure) :)

i never ever heard of this.. i just know the live version and the vauxhall version...

The Killers did an amazing cover of it which was a bit harder sounding. That is the only one I know of.

I must say that it's my favourite Morrissey track. I big claim, i know, but I am pretty sure! The 'other version' is talked about by Jonny Bridgewood, who played bass on it, in Johnny Rogan's latest book. Would be nice to hear it. It may appear on an Athology Box Set in 2018, if we're lucky! :rolleyes:
