View Full Version : Assemble the PERFECT! Moz album.

Roma De Moz
October 18, 2006, 09:31 PM
Borrowing from the great man's entire, expansive solo song library, album tracks from right the way accross his discography, and any b-sides of your choosing, assemble a 12 song track-listing on what you would consider to be the perfect Morrissey album if it were released for the first time tommorow. You can only include 12 songs, but those can be any songs, or unreleased material he has done, or you can think of. Think of how an album should flow, and the continuity; shoving an album full of epics wouldn't neccesary gell and would be more of a Greatest Hit's release. You can decide on your own title if you like aswell. Go!

You don't really want a cigarette, if you did, you wouldn't have quit in the first place.

Have you read Allen Carr's The easy way to stop smoking? I thought it would be useless, but I've read it and have now been a non-smoker for 20 months. Believe me, I never thought I'd quit, I used to love smoking, but after reading the book (which can admittedly get a little patronising) I found it an absolute breeze to stop smoking.

Congratualtions, here in Sweden the liberals/conservatives has increased the tax for cigarettes by 40% and 100% for "snus" (dunno what it's in english but Sweden is the only country in EU where it's legal:p ). Bad time to be a smoker. Maybe time for our finance minister to quit.

Is snus like snuff? Sort of powdered tobacco that you snort?

i've tried quiting int he past and always failed. it was too hard getting past day 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9. this time though it's the longest i've been without any cravings. i'm avoiding alcohol on the weekends for a couple months (makes me want to smoke) and most importantly i am detoxing to get the toxins out. two weeks and i don't really think about smoking at all. it's still early but i think i'll make it. apparently the nicotine should more or less be out. now it's just training my mind not to think about reaching for a cigarette next time i go out with friends to the bar, or lunch break at work. breaking the routine basically.

Basically, if you've done this far, you've made it. You no longer smoke, so you no longer have to worry about it. Congratulations, you're free of it. The nicotine is out of your system, all that is left is that yhou may now think that you want to smoke. Basically, whenever I thought I might have one I always said to myself "If you want to smoke, why did you stop in the first place". Then think that if you smoke that one, you'll be opening the door to a pack a day, feeling shitty in the mornings, coughing up brown snot and spending cash to do something that you don't really enjoy.

You've made it through. Celebrate, don't hide away from it.

Well done.

Snort? If that means got "under your lips" the yes, it kind of looks like a tea bag but with tobacco in it (discusting I know but atleast it only kills the people doing it, plus it gives mouth cancer). Cost over 4 euro now, an increase of more then one euro.

Ahh, the stuff you're talking about is a bit like chewing tobacco. It's a popular method of using tobacco in some countries.

Snuff you actually sniff up your nose. In a similar way to taking cocaine.

Dear Lord, smoking is fun. I've just smoked one and it was exquisite. But yes, it's an atrocious habit... I must give up myself, even though I enjoy it intensely.

wow...you are evil!! tempting me. and this is why i like you.

if you ever feel like it. detox...it will help. also try homeopathic detox drops. i added that to the routine a week ago.

i guess thinking about cancer everytime you have a cigarette also helps. it helped me.

Have never tried it or cigarette but have seen many try it, depending on your size you can feel bad and even throw up, remember one who tried seven at one time. He felt Really bad. But it goes directly into the blood so you get the nico-kick almost directly and it's very strong, it's therefor very easy to get addicted to. Many who tries to quit smoking start with this instead.

And you can get the most horrifying lip cancer by it, saw a poor guy who's lips where like ten centimeters (on picture), must have died pretty soon after that. Poor fellow.

hmm..i predict that as more and more countires/states are going smoke-free i bars and restaurants...snuff will catch on in the US and other european countries. its one appeal is in the fact it's not as messy/disgusting as chewing tobacco since it comes in that tea bag pouch.

Obviously, we have had to include a released album of tracks, which is completly against our morals as mspend828 will tell you. I have started with relatively lively tracks, with the album hitting a 15 minute masterpiece of Life Is A Pigsty together with You Know I Couldn't Last, a brave move by brave men. The album is at its strongest at track 10 we feel, with the magnetic 'Tony The Pony' complementing the lead out track which is the legendary 'Southpaw'.

---Non Releases---
1. East West
2. Sister, I'm A Poet
3. Now I Am A Was
4. Oh Phoney!
5. The Edges Are No Longer Parallel
6. Honey, You Know Where To Find Me
7. Nobody Loves Us
8. Noise Is The Best Revenge
9. Please Help The Cause Against Loneliness
10. Heir Apparent
11. Striptease With A Difference
12. Lost

Now we are talking, down to the tracks that matter. An unbeatable start by the iconic track 'East West', this is a must with any true Morrissey fans album, as Uncle Liam will tell you. The album gets stronger until hitting its peak at tracks 6-8. Wraps up with 'Lost', which my friend has written in his will as wanting played at his funeral. This closes the strongest possible Morrissey album that can be formed from his material.

Beat that pop pickers, i will see you Mike and Liam friday to discuss this fine list.

You kidding me?
100% for snus? It must cost the same as here in Norway, then!
What a terrible travesty... No use in wisiting Sweden any more
