I can explain my obsession with Lucy Pinder: She has a great face, great smile, does classy photo shoots, and never completely exposes her breasts, so that puts the actual tits last on my list. I use that pic (or rather, the top part of it) as my avatar on NME.com and Last.fm, but this forum requires really small pics. I tried and tried cropping it and resizing, but the file ends up too big, i.e. with too many KB for this forum. Same with any other pic. Maybe that's what happens to files when you modify them in Photoshop?

The guy on the Joplin-Cream-Clapton cover is a little known young British actor called Seb Castang. The reason I know about him is that he played one of the main characters in my favourite TV series, which was called... guess what... "Night & Day". It was a very strange British show (2001-2003), supposed to be soap, but it was really more like British "Twin Peaks", sort of... but in fact it was different from anything else I've ever seen. Not many people know about it, I guess it was too original and too weird for most people...especially the ITV executives. It has a cult following, though. Look at the IMDB user reviews - it's really a 'love or hate' type of show!

The central character is a girl who disappears at the end of the first episode and appears in visions and flashbacks for the most of the series' run (we only found out what happened at the end of the show). Josh is a boy from the Halfway House who was her boyfriend at the time, and who's one of the suspects for her possible murder. He is a misunderstood 'bad boy' with a good heart, but suffers from blackouts and is tortured by strange visions, which make him think he might be the killer after all... Add to that a leather jacket, a motorbike, and a brooding look... you get the idea. <drool> ;)

I'm not a fan of moustache either :D He didn't have one when I saw them live.

There aren't really any decent radio stations for me to listen to anymore, so I don't know. Some have been closed, some have gone so mainstream that I don't want to listen to them anymore.

Tindersticks first two albums are great, but "Curtains" are my favourite one of their albums. The others have been quite disappointing, except for a track or two. Maybe they had just set the standards too high...

I'm not a big fan of Llasa or anything, but "Anywhere On This Road" gripped me because of its lyrics - such a true description of male/female relations: "I love a man who's afraid of me/he thinks if he doesn't stand guard with a knife/I'll make him my slave for the rest of his life".

I love his voice, too - and Lanegan's. Some other voices I love: Peter Murphy (in the solo stuff rather than with Bauhaus), Richard Hawley, Guy Kyser from Thin White Rope (not many people seem to know about them)... I find it very surprising that some people dislike Stuart's voice and say that they listen to Tindersticks 'despite it'! :eek: A lot of people say the same about Ian Curtis/JD, which I find hard to believe. Then again, there are even some people who hate Morrissey's voice! :rolleyes:

Maybe it's better that you haven't read any bios about Curtis. His music tells you more about him than his widow did in her book "Touching From the Distance".

The new film about Curtis is still in production. I love his voice, too - and Lanegan's. Some other voices I love: Peter Murphy (in the solo stuff rather than with Bauhaus), Richard Hawley, Guy Kyser from Thin White Rope (not many people seem to know about them)... I find it very surprising that some people dislike Stuart's voice and say that they listen to Tindersticks 'despite it'! :eek: A lot of people say the same about Ian Curtis/JD, which I find hard to believe. Then again, there are even some people who hate Morrissey's voice! :rolleyes:

Well, I haven't read so much about any other artist as I have about Moz/Smiths :) but I do know more than most people about some of my other favourite artists, including Joy Division. He first appeared halfway through the show and was in most episodes right to the end. Played a very likeable cockney bloke and love interest for one of the main female characters / part of a love triangle. My mom thought his character was the nicest person on the show.

And for those who love Alan Rickman... I met him!!! Once in Broadway in 2002.. He was at the exit of the theatre where he was performing in a play (I don't remember the name) standing on the sidewalk signing autographs, taking pictures and being the nicest and kindest famous person I've ever seen... He's tall and his eyes were so blue!! And his smile is gorgeous... I passed by his side... I could have talked to him or touched him or anything so easily!! But I didn't because I'm not a real fan, although I like him a lot.
