I remember the line: "things ain't cookin' in my kitchen". I had to laugh when I heard that, and said: "use the oven" ;)
anyway, I agree with Because We Must, although I wouldn't say it that...explicit...

Can't take that serius when it's coming from you. In other threads a while ago (My mind is very good and I can find it for you)

You said something about LIVE / remember ?

and also about (the KINKS) Ray Davies / Remember?

So learn about the bands before telling about them

I bet U where even born in 1985-1986 when they were a hit ?

And why are they so bad tell Me that instead

well, I happen to know Live very well. And I think they're really rubbish.
I'm sorry if that isn't the same as your opinion, but I don't bother.
It's true there still is a lot of music I have to get to know - tough luck, I already had a Crowded House-period. And I've outgrown.
Seems like the only group we have in common now is Morrissey/Smiths.
Don't feel that much hatred about people who have an opinion opposite to yours!

Maid@vale lover - you have great taste! Crowded House were/are still a great band. Just check out great songs like...
Never be the same
Private universe
Fall at your feet
Don't dream it's over
Distant sun
World where you live

I could go on and on. They had great melodies, lyrics and were brilliant live. Remind you of anyone?

Cheers :D

Yeah I do think I have a great taste to and very very large taste. I grew up in the 80's with bands like

Visage, Soft Cell, DM, Yazoo, Duran x 2, New Order, Nena, Falco, the Smiths, The The and many others

But My taste is very large :

Foo Fighters, Motörhead, Ramones, Pearl Jam, Mark Lanegan, QOTSA, NMA, Sex Pistols, the Damned, the Stranglers, Big Country (the Skids), Nina Hagen, Julian Cope, Nick Cave, Echo and the Bunnymen, NOFX, the Dictators, the Misfits, Black Flag, Danzig, Rollins Band, Rancid, the Hellacopters, Spear Of destiny, Theatre Of Hate, Robert Zimmermann aka Bob Dylan, Placebo, Me First And the Gimme Gimmes, Tanzwut, Dresden Dolls, Blondie, On Trial (danish), President Fetch (danish), Spleen United (danish), Mew (danish), Disneyland After Dark (danish), Sandmen (danish), Saybia (danish) ... ... and many more

So I'm so very large what goes on for hearing music

Crowded house..often overlooked as MOR fodder but actually wrote some of the most finely crafted pop songs in the last 20 years. Extremely entertaining live, great musicians and massively underated IMHO. Why do you think Johnny was playing live with Neil F?..not because they were shit.

I said it once and I'll say it again; everytime I read any of Maida Vale Lover's posts I always hear the voice of a 12 year old girl in my head.
