Did you sport a pomp to the show? LOL So, if you told Tom he had hot body do you think he would he hold it AGAINST you ;) HAHA!!! I think if I told Tom he had a hot bod (which he doesn't anymore as I fear he is manorexic), I think my bf would hold it against me. haha! :p But yes, excellent show and I can't help but fall for the singer. For this band, although the drummer has a beard AND glasses...he's a complete weirdo and not hot at all. haha! osiris November 18, 2007, 06:44 AM My next shows will be Dinosaur Jr. 12/8/07 @ The House Of Blues & Girls In A Coma 12/15/07 @ The Cavern. joey November 20, 2007, 10:04 PM Tonight: Feist Hey Skinner, my friend has been on stage to sing with Against Me! before. He was surfed up to the stage and the guy let him up on stage with him. I've never listened to them, but it's cool to know. Skinner November 28, 2007, 02:26 PM Tonight: Feist Hey Skinner, my friend has been on stage to sing with Against Me! before. He was surfed up to the stage and the guy let him up on stage with him. I've never listened to them, but it's cool to know. Awww thats so awesome! Congrats to your friend! And thanks for sharing Joey :D You're so sweet. Last night my friend (who used to work for Sanctuary records…so jealous!) surprised me and put me on the list for the Paramore show at the Electric Factory in Philly! I almost didn’t want to admit that I was a fan of their work on this forum, but there’s no reason to be ashamed in my mind. So I was one of the oldest people there. Sue me! I first saw Paramore 2 summers ago on Warped Tour when they were playing the very tiny Shira Girl stage. No one had any idea who they were. Now they are selling out big clubs and headlining national tours. Good for them I say. Their singer Haley is amazing! She didn’t hit one bad note the entire show and they did a cover of “Faces in Disguise” by Sunny Day Real Estate which was surprisingly good. If you’re looking for some feel-good, sing-along music, I suggest Paramore :D http://loudbase.s3.amazonaws.com/bands/xid/1/12/12617/uploads/pho/paramore3-372x2505737.jpg Chartres November 28, 2007, 02:52 PM December 4: Bruce Springsteen, Oslo December 7: Räfven, Gothenburg January 25: Morrissey, London January 26: Morrissey, London January 27: Morrissey, London Skinner November 30, 2007, 03:45 AM Last night I saw Erin McKeown At the Tin Angel in Philly with Nicole Reynolds as the opener. It was my 4th time seeing Erin this year and she did an all request show. Everyone wrote down what songs they wanted to hear and questions for her to answer during her set. It was a lot of fun and pretty hilarious at times. Someone requested U2's "With or without you", which she played even though she didnt know all the words. haha I wrote down the question "What are your feelings on Guitar Hero?". She selected this right before her last song. Read it aloud and said "is that the video game? I haven't owned a television in 10 years". haha! I felt really great after that haha! Nicole Reynolds was awesome!!!! If Eliott Smith was alive and a female, it would be her. Her set was great. She's an amazing guitar player, cute as a button, and hilarious. We saw the ads for the Chicago Theatre show after buying Star Plaza tickets. And Star Plaza is further from my house... I think I have Row EE in the good old Celebrity Circle. It won't be the same without... all of you there. And that guy, what's his name again? Anyway- I'll be meeting up for a drink before the show with Joey from here. I met him in NY, of all places, instead of up here. I've never seriously considered going to Lollap. before. I had a few miserable experiences at Lilith Fair at the horrible Tinley Park World Music Center (Tweeter Center now, I think). But that's the deal with those VIP passes, they give you free water and an air conditioned place to sit, plus a viewing platform for the shows, or something. That's why I'm considering them. We'll see. The $850 tickets won't sell out right away. joey March 28, 2008, 04:45 AM I'm very very excited about seeing KITH. I saw Stars last night and it was the best concert experience I've had since my last Morrissey show. I had front row tickets for a less than half-sold show. It wasn't advertised much at all, but the people that were there truly knew what they were getting into. After a few songs they asked everyone to come up on stage. I remember the guy singing right into people and I know he caught an eye to my Moz shirt :) Another person in the band pointed at me during her line of "sweetness, sweetness..." It was so amazing to be up on stage there looking out at everyone (who were also up there with me). They threw roses out everywhere and it was just an amazing thing to see and hear. leedoggpimp March 28, 2008, 05:36 AM the glow in the dark tour bysshe March 28, 2008, 06:02 AM Unknown Hinson, this Saturday. :D joey March 28, 2008, 11:02 AM British Sea Power - tonight! SAFE Claudia2006 May 4, 2008, 04:10 AM British Sea Power, in a few minutes! (Posting from gig, waiting for them to come on, staring at some guy who showed up dressed as Gumby). Edit: home now, great show. Question for those who have seen BSP before.... is it normal for one of the guitarists to end up on the shoulders of an audience member drinking beer while his guitar gets passed around among various other audience members who take turns playing it? During the gig? While the rest of the band keep right on playing? :D Sphinx May 6, 2008, 04:09 PM Claudia sounds like the BSP gig was great. I saw Nick Cave last night - loved it. For the rest of this month Delays, a couple of locals bands that I want to see, and a few more nights of The Wedding Present. Jose May 6, 2008, 05:56 PM Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Elbow.
