But yes, excellent show and I can't help but fall for the singer. For this band, although the drummer has a beard AND glasses...he's a complete weirdo and not hot at all. haha!

Last night my friend (who used to work for Sanctuary records…so jealous!) surprised me and put me on the list for the Paramore show at the Electric Factory in Philly!
I almost didn’t want to admit that I was a fan of their work on this forum, but there’s no reason to be ashamed in my mind. So I was one of the oldest people there. Sue me! I first saw Paramore 2 summers ago on Warped Tour when they were playing the very tiny Shira Girl stage. No one had any idea who they were. Now they are selling out big clubs and headlining national tours. Good for them I say. Their singer Haley is amazing! She didn’t hit one bad note the entire show and they did a cover of “Faces in Disguise” by Sunny Day Real Estate which was surprisingly good.

If you’re looking for some feel-good, sing-along music, I suggest Paramore :D

Last night I saw Erin McKeown At the Tin Angel in Philly with Nicole Reynolds as the opener. It was my 4th time seeing Erin this year and she did an all request show. Everyone wrote down what songs they wanted to hear and questions for her to answer during her set. It was a lot of fun and pretty hilarious at times. Someone requested U2's "With or without you", which she played even though she didnt know all the words. haha

I wrote down the question "What are your feelings on Guitar Hero?". She selected this right before her last song. Read it aloud and said "is that the video game? I haven't owned a television in 10 years". haha! I felt really great after that haha!

Nicole Reynolds was awesome!!!! If Eliott Smith was alive and a female, it would be her. Her set was great. She's an amazing guitar player, cute as a button, and hilarious. Love her!!! :D

Thanks. I've never seen Ozzy or Zombie before so I'm pretty psyched. I was a huge fan of Zombie years back...and though my tastes have mellowed somewhat...I think it will be an awesome show. Maybe I'll wear a Moz shirt there...should be a great conversation starter. :rolleyes: HAHA

Also, just got tickets to Echo & The Bunnymen (my favorite band in the world, ask anyone) on September 16 @ Royal Albert Hall so, I have to fly over for them. ( I did that already for their 2 Xmas gigs on Dec. 8 & 9 this month & it was one of the best decisions for a band's gigs {to see} I ever made!)

Yeah, should be great - they're playing at the best venue in Melbourne - it's really small :) A friend saw them in in Chicago and rated it as the best gig she's ever been to.

Oh yes they're around EP out end of last year and normally excellent live, they hit the high notes live too - third album due out on 28th April - hoping to hear more new tracks on this tour.

I am going to see The Dillinger Escape Plan in a couple of weeks, epic music...well if you're into songs that can melt faces.

I actually saw a sweet show last night. Fake Problems played with Smoke or Fire last night in a record store about 10 miles from me. It was crazy to see a band like Smoke or Fire playing in a record store LOL. But the show was small and awesome.

I just ran into Fake Problems at Guitar Center actually on my lunch break. It was very cool :D

Saw Blind Melon (with a new singer of course) on Saturday in NYC..Great show but having another front man sing Shannon's lyrics is a bit troublesome for me seeing as how they are all so personal..The other guys deserve a career so I don't begrudge them reforming..

EELS in York at the end of the month and then The Duke Spirit in Leeds not long after.

I'm seriously considering getting Lollapalooza tickets. They have a VIP pass which includes free food, water, and beer & wine, a private area to relax and sit, nicer potties... very $$$ though. I'm seriously considering getting Lollapalooza tickets. They have a VIP pass which includes free food, water, and beer & wine, a private area to relax and sit, nicer potties... very $$$ though. I think it might be worth it. I already made a hotel reservation for the two nights I'd need, it's only 30 minutes from home but it would be more fun to just stay downtown and walk to the park. Consider it a vacation at home. They announce the lineup April 7, I'll make a final decision then.

So, this year when I got the e-mail for the super cheap early-bird tickets I ignored it... then they announced NIN and Radiohead would be playing the next day and I regretted my decision. But still... I must be strong. It really is a totally miserable experience to spend a day in the brutal summer heat and sun and the crowd is horrible. I think I'll just plan on watching the shows online instead.

Unless of course they announce somebody that I HAVE to see is going to be playing...

We saw the ads for the Chicago Theatre show after buying Star Plaza tickets. And Star Plaza is further from my house... I think I have Row EE in the good old Celebrity Circle. It won't be the same without... all of you there. And that guy, what's his name again?

Anyway- I'll be meeting up for a drink before the show with Joey from here. I met him in NY, of all places, instead of up here.

I've never seriously considered going to Lollap. before. I had a few miserable experiences at Lilith Fair at the horrible Tinley Park World Music Center (Tweeter Center now, I think). But that's the deal with those VIP passes, they give you free water and an air conditioned place to sit, plus a viewing platform for the shows, or something. That's why I'm considering them. We'll see. The $850 tickets won't sell out right away.

I'm very very excited about seeing KITH.


I saw Stars last night and it was the best concert experience I've had since my last Morrissey show. I had front row tickets for a less than half-sold show. It wasn't advertised much at all, but the people that were there truly knew what they were getting into. After a few songs they asked everyone to come up on stage. I remember the guy singing right into people and I know he caught an eye to my Moz shirt :) Another person in the band pointed at me during her line of "sweetness, sweetness..." It was so amazing to be up on stage there looking out at everyone (who were also up there with me). They threw roses out everywhere and it was just an amazing thing to see and hear.

The BSP show tonight was so good! They are great live. I really didn't know much of them, but I'm very happy I went. They had an amazing ending. The guitarist climbed on top of the keyboard player's shoulders and helped him play guitar. It was something to see. I bought a shirt from one of the The 1900's girls, and they were out of medium, so she told me to look at a small. I put it up next to me and she kind of grabbed my sides and almost felt me up! It was funny. I really did like them. I'll have to check them out again. I signed up for their list too.

Poi Dog Pondering (http://www.platetectonicmusic.com/) announced last night that they are going on a mini-midwest tour and will end in June at Ravinia in the north burbs of Chicago. I'll be there!

I will post when I hear dates & cities and hopefully some of you can go and check them out. You will not be disappointed. They are my all-time fave. Their show was so awesome last night. And their new CD "7" is really good. I'm on a Poi high today...:D :guitar:!!

I hate they waited this long to announce the sale dates and that it goes on sale this week. Sadly I believe I spent my money elsewhere. :(
