TheSmyths
July 7, 2006, 02:40 AM
Because of the popularity and sell out of the Queen is Dead night at Quarry The Smyths will be playing a few other London dates during July so if you were unable to get tickets for Quarry then you will have other chances to hear the band in the next few weeks.
Friday 7th July
The Smyths will be playing at The Venue in New Cross. Their set will comprise of a variety of Morrissey/Smiths tracks.
Saturday 8th July
The Smyths will be playing at Duckie at The Royal Vauxhall Tavern. This will be a short set of 6 favourite tracks.
Friday 14th July
This is a special one off night at Jamm in Brixton celebrating the music of The Smiths. There will be special DJ appearances by ex Smiths members, Andy Rourke and Mike Joyce. There will also be 3 Smiths influenced support bands playing and The Smyths will be headlining. The set here will comprise of a variety of Morrissey/Smiths tracks. Doors are at 9pm until 4am. Tickets for this night are now on sale for £8 through the Smyths web site or by going to the ticket agency web site: http://www.wegottickets.com/event/11308 Tickets are already selling and to avoid missing out on seeing Andy Rourke, Mike Joyce and The Smyths playing along side each other we recommend you get your advanced tickets very soon.
Saturday 29th July
The Smyths will be playing at The Dublin Castle in Camden. Because many people who were unable to get tickets for Quarry have requested a repeat Queen is Dead night the band will again be playing two sets, the first being the whole of the Queen is Dead album, and the second will be the whole of The Hatful of Hollow album. This promises to be a special night. The Smyths usually sell out this regular venue and I am sure this one will sell out more quickly than usual. Advanced tickets are available via the Smyths web site or here http://www.wegottickets.com/event/11375
