View Full Version : Thanks to those who have supported me.

Hi,

Well, I want to say a big thank you to those fans of Mozz who have supported me and encouraged me to get certain troublemakers off this board.

I might also add that I've been in contact with one of the inveterate posters on here, and they told me that we once had a huge community of genuine and good Mozza fans on here.

Once the rot set in and we had unspeakable "friends" like Greasetea et al. who got their kicks in slagging and stabbing other fans in the back, it caused a lot of divisions and long-term fans unsubscribing from here.

I'm no angel myself, but do *ANY* of you people stop to think that there could be older people and parents with their kids surfing this board??

Morrissey and Smiths fans are not just these anti-social, awkward and disgruntled teenage dirtbags as the popular press often makes out.

There are some people who suffer from shyness that is criminally vulgar (like Morrissey) that they do not or cannot socialise in a nightclub situation or rock arena, so the Internet is the next medium for them to meet and talk to others.

As I am somebody who prefers smaller cafes and the Net to get to know people without getting a sore throat to be heard above the music, I have made a lot of friends through the Internet over the last 3 years.
Though I go out clubbing and to rock stadiums on the odd occasion.

In relation to Morrissey, if you want to tell if someone is a good leader then look at his followers. 98% of the people left here are very sensitive, intelligent people.

Do you think that Morrissey enjoys having to tolerate people that go @#!!!ing over his fans, triviliasing sex and using every four-letter-word under the sun every two sentences? Like Moz, I find people like these completely repugnant. And I also blame David T for not doing something about this.

David T, if you're reading this - it's great that you have this board believe me, I love it!! :-D

BUT: you have a job and responsibility to carry out as the board's moderator. You've GOT to put your foot down on these people who are ruining other Moz fans' fun, otherwise you could stand to lose a helluva lot more subscribers.

Just because I am kind, it does not mean that I should have to tolerate people who abuse my kindness. And when it comes to Internet discrepancies, I'm not the kindest of folks (being the manager of an Internet community myself).

Until you do something about the troublemakers, I'm taking it upon myself to delete their filth from this board, and just going to badger AOL's abuse service forwarding the abusive posts till something gets done, if you really care about Morrissey and the people who visit here.

it's time to put greasetea "out of this place". And you will find lots of "real" fans to help you. most of us can't stand this situation anymore.

Huge fan of the Man(Greasetea, of course)

Shut your pie-face, Glam God. I like Greasetea. I think he makes the board, matter-of-fact. If you don't like his posts, lemme give you a little hint: DON"T READ EM. Every time you open up a post of his you know what you get. If you like em ya read em and if ya don't, then just pass em by. Simple as that. Then maybe you'll have more time to get out a little more.

I agree, Greasetea is also not a real Moz fan. Greaseball doesn't quote Wilde, doesn't drink tea properly, doesn't act "woe as me" drama queen and is arrogantly obnoxious.

Oh and he creates weird fiction and stupid news articles. SomebOdy hang the bastard!

The worse crime of all: GREASETEA REFUSES TO USE SIR MOZ'S QUOTES OR LYRICS AS WITTY COMEBACKS OR SEGUES IN HIS SENTENCES! HINGHANG THE RUNT BY THE THUMBS.

All this from someone who claims that his naturist etc etc etc lifestyle only excludes the "politically correct". Yeah. It's freedom that generates the dictator, innit?

If you're offended by our greasy monster's post, Don't read them. It has been said times and times again.
And if you're scared for your kiddos, well ... there's quite a more devillish world out there, case you didn't notice. It's utterly insane that people complain about internet protection of children when they allow that thousands of them are killed in traffic accidents every single year.
What are you really afraid of?

"Ruining other Moz's fans' fun?"
If you try to get greasetea off this board, we'll have conversations here that bore anyone to a 3-order degree of death. Look at the news site. There is only every now and then a really interesting post. Most of the time, terrible BS. "I have my opinion too, so let it be known". Huh.
A staggering level of dullness.
There's hardly any wit, fun, pun or whatsoever that is remotely Wildean or even Morrisseyan on this board.

Final point. All you intend to do on the AOL blablabla: you are REALLY pathetically losing it. It's the posts you may find repugnant. Not the person. Whom YOU do NOT know. Me neither.
But I don't judge people on their messages. I only judge their messages. And most can be lucky that I don't extend that judgement to their personal self.

So, if you think greasetea's posts are insulting - don't read them. Do you stamp your feet on the same turd time and time again? I bet you don't.

that's so long from me,

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA !!!!

I never got your real humor before - I can't believe I missed it! The whole routine - brilliant! The use of vulgarity when condemning the profane - the tirade over anonymity when you - yourself don't post your e-mail address - priceless! I haven't laughed so hard in ages! - I'm so ashamed that I didn't get the punch line before!

what didn't work?
When I decide not to read some of his posts, it works fine for me.

I decided not to read other people's posts as well, and it continues to work fine. It can't be the method, then.

P.S. if you're afraid of this becoming greasetea-solo.com, then start posting Morrissey content. But ... IS THERE ANY?

Purely for the record, you haven't posted your e-mail address (dimwit indeed). The next time you type one of your cringingly sycophantic posts, sucking up to who ever it is you're attempting to curry favor with, try this. Look at the faces of your children before you press the enter key. Will they be proud of you?

Some people set out to deliberately offend others, so why are all the giggly little hangers on so surprised when it happens? And how on earth does the person who is the victim of the abuse suddenly become the villain of the piece? Glam God is innocent and is perfectly entitled to retaliate. Leave the guy alone. He's done nothing to you.

Oh God, NO! I've had some access to the 1999 archive when I wanted to look up some old messages for nostalgia, and decided to take utter advantage of the situation by having a gander at the posts of the past, to see if they really are as insightful as people claim. And Lord, they're so boring! They follow a pattern such as this:

Moz fan #1: "Hey, do you like Moz?"
Moz fan #2: "Yeah, he's so great."
Moz fan #3: "Hey, are you guys talking about Moz, I love Moz."
Moz none-fan #4: "I HATE MOZ."
Moz fans 1, 2 & 3: "Hey, shut up you bastard."

And so it goes on...

Believe me GlamGod, things are much better now. Lighten up! You were so bright and breezy to begin with, and now you sound like a first-year teacher whose spirit's been broken by unruly pupils and decides to follow a cause which doesn't really matter at all.

You see what you fail to understand is that with the language you used in this post would fall under Glamgod's censorship.
I've had my run ins with Greastea so no fears here of being burned. But if censorship is what you want support it, but kindly refrain from swearing.

I'm not pushing for censorship. I simply feel that if anybody is abused to the point where they decide to act upon it then that is their right. They don't deserve to recieve further abuse from all of the embarrassingly obsequious giggle gang. The person I responded to typifies this kind of snivelling toady. It's not that I'm afraid - and this is totally irresponsible philosophy coming from a mature aged person like you.
The sensibilities of children need to be protected, you obviously don't have children, do you??
Would you let them read stuff that Greasetea has posted up on here if you were a mother?
Children cannot be physically killed whilst surfing the internet, but their integrity and sensibilities can.

Yes, there is a devillish world out there, but nobody (least of all kids) should have to tolerate it just because it is there.

That's *your* opinion. If we get Greasetea off here, then maybe we wouldn't have so much contention and a lot of good, dedicated fans leaving here as they have done because of him.

But I *DO* judge people on account of the tone of their messages, especially with those I've never met. If Greasetea is not like that in real life, then why does he come across that way on this board?

I won't shut up until people with attitudes like him and the disusting gutter language back-stabbing on here comes to an end for once and for all.

Que Vive is not sucking up to me - I don't need someone like him/her to defend me, but it's nice to get that support anyhow.

The reason some of us don't post our email addresses in the profile is because of the fear of the nasty poison pen-pushers sending them hate-mail directly to their inbox, or the fear that they may be stalked.

As for me, I put a "kill" filter in it, so anybody that annoys me by sending direct email will have their messages trashed without being read.

Any one can post here and say whatever they like.

Its called free speech.

Yes, sometimes certain people are crude and insulting but there are lots of times when they are entertaining and funny.

Never have I opened a post of yours and found anything interesting or witty, just an endless rant about what this board should be.

I suggest that until you can say anything useful that you just shut up.

Maybe so. But let's beware of offending other people's sensibilities. It's good to be personally funny, but not offensively personal. The difference saved me, as indeed it should save you.

You (as well as several others) sound exactly like the critics who dissed Morrissey when he first started out.

I'm not sure what you mean, Surely you're not comparing yourself to Morrissey? and I don't remember anyone telling him he was a bore.

I'd teach them how to be able to disregard these things. Now boy, I have no kids, nor do I want any. I survived a heroin addiction, survived a car crash that killed everyone except me. In terms of having wasted a life, count me in.
I worked with kids (high school though) on drug prevention. It's not about stearing them away from it - it won't work. I'm always surprised they already know quite a lot. But you can't just seal this kind of chapter in the name of protection. That is not protection. They'll be drawn to it anyway. You have to teach them to say no if they want to say no, and to foresee all the possibile consequences when they say yes. It's not easy. But it can and should be done.
Oh, what are kids hoping to find here?

> Yes, there is a devillish world out there, but nobody (least of
> all kids) should have to tolerate it just because it is there.

Right. But they have to improve it. They can't therefore ignore it. Even at a young age. If more kids knew what is what, why, how and how to think of it, there wouldn't be as much pedophile cases as well. Ignorance is a crime. Children are very well capable at understanding the issues that concern them. But you have to take your time to explain it. Shielding really is the easy way.

> That's *your* opinion. If we get Greasetea off here, then maybe

quite a statement for someone new. Aren't you afraid they're using greasetea as an excuse for lack of interest? Note that most of the oldies are rarely "attacked".

Nah, I think Alanis Morrissette is kewl. We should be able to like whatever on here asides from Morrissey - hey I even listen to Savage Garden, Kylie Minogue, The Stone Roses, Take That and Oasis.

Though if we had any hardcore techno fans and people who like Midge Ure and have the entire collection of Twinkle and Sandie Shaw on record, and CD then I'd be a bit worried. But that's just me.

ok, but but in these "old times" all that I knew was that most of Morrissey fans were too pedantic, and you simply couldn't hear anything besides Suede or Morrissey that people would say you were an idiot.

I hear lots of strange things to a Morrissey fan (well, I'm hearing Belle and Sebastian now, but this is almost an exception!) and then people said i was an idiot so many times. I didn't like it. I dom't miss this "old times before Greasetea" at all.

Nope, I haven't broken into the computer.

For the record, Midge Ure was one of the British rock stars who slagged The Smiths something rotten in their time then he had the guile to approach Johnny Marr to perform at some concert he was promoting after the Smiths split.

Hi,

Well enough of my polemics for a while.

Why don't we make a wish list of what we'd like to see from our man The Great Mozzaaa for the millennium?

Here's my wishes for him:

1) His alsatian eats Johnny Rogan
2) He sets fire to a hotel that J.R is staying in
3) He gets a new international record deal that will put him up there with the likes of the Famous International Playboys and rock gods like Marilyn Manson, Eminem, REM etcetera
4) He force feeds Titney Smears and then marries her
5) He calls the Queen Mother a slag on the BRITS awards when his new album goes platinum and doesn't come under any adversity
6) His alsatian eats Greasetea and my other opposers and then defecates the remains out in the Adswood tip
7) He migrates to Fremantle in Western Australia

I would have added 10, but 7 is a luckier number.
