If you really want to know what it's about, go back and watch it again. There's a scene that shows a television. On the screen is a bottle of booze, something Marshall Mathers is apperently in rehabilitation for. But the television stands as a metaphor for a debilitating obsession. THat makes the television itself debilitating. So "murderers" kill their victims then go home and watch the news on television to see if they made a dent. It makes them feel connected or important or whatever. The naked man is a metaphor for the drive to kill, in the end the naked man laughs, but in the end of this story, Eminem hears the crickets of his subconscious and makes a face like "WTF have I done!?!?" Then black, then he screams. So he's stuck in this spiral of "murdering people" but he's acknowledging it's fucked up. Morrissey says, "All you need is me."

For the most part I hate Simon & Garfunkel. However, since Zack Snyder chose it for the Comedian's funeral in the Watchmen film, it has taken on a new emotional significance and I find myself really digging it. I am holding the album in my hand. From the liner notes.

It is one of my favorite albums. If you get a chance try "Ol Blue Eyes is Back" which was an album from 1973. The album is out of print and I had to buy it from iTunes but it is well worth it. It was the first Sinatra album at his mature time period. Key songs are "Send in the Clowns" and "There Used to be a Ballpark."

I'm listening to Suede dissect their music videos in the On The Couch section of their Lost in Music DVD. Currently "The Wild Ones".
