View Full Version : This HAS to be one of the most gauche, tacky, and ridiculous endeavors by Conservatives... Codreanu May 30, 2005, 03:57 AM And I have seen my share. It was set up like a video game. Oliver North is no one to be cheered at! ( Remember in the 80's when he wanted to impose Martial Law?) But it's good to know what your enemies are up to. Thanks! Well, I admire a couple of them: Coulter (sometimes) and Hamblin who was an immigration restrictionist when it wasn't cool, not to mention that he once told Abe Foxman (ADL) to "go to hell" on the air! And Boortz is good on a few issues...but the rest of 'em (AND THE CONCEPT) certainly nauseates. Six months ago I would've voted for Laura Ingraham but the more I've heard her the less I admire her. She's still "ok" though. Matt Drudge is an odd candidate. I don't think of him as being as partisan as some people assume. He'd post a story that would take Bush down tomorrow if someone leaked it to him. As he says, he goes where the stink is. And there's always interesting variety from him. Like tonight: ===== LONDON (AP) - A cell-phone ring tone appeared set to top the British singles chart Sunday, outselling the new single by the band Coldplay by nearly four to one, a music retailer said. "Crazy Frog Axel F," a ring tone based on the sound of a revving Swedish mo-ped, is the first tune being used on mobile phones to cross into mainstream music charts, said Gennaro Castaldo, a spokesman for HMV, the British music retailing chain. Coldplay had hoped to go straight to No. 1 on this Sunday's British singles chart with its new song, "Speed of Sound." But by Saturday, it appeared that the ring tone - which is available for digital download and as a compact disc single - would prevail, said Castaldo. ===== Theo van Gogh Martyrs Brigade May 30, 2005, 04:51 AM I'm not just a luddite when it comes to not caring about high speed Internet. I absolutely hate cell phones. Ring tones? Couldn't care less. I'll probably move into the 21st century on Internet speed when I get my next laptop sometime later this year. But I absolutely will not budge on the cell phone thing. Employers have tried to sway and even force me and they have failed. Fuck 'em. I'm hoping those warnings prove true and every cell phone user will have brain tumors and low sperm counts soon. ~realitybites veruca salt May 30, 2005, 05:00 AM > I'm not just a luddite when it comes to not caring about high speed > Internet. > I absolutely hate cell phones. I hate cell phones as well, with a passion. I won't own one either. I don't care that one can take pictures and text messages. They are annoying as hell and a ball and chain -- a leash. I would only get one, if I absolutely needed it because I was travelling in dangerous or remote areas by car. I don't want anyone to get tumors though. However, low sperm count would be fine. vBulletin® v3.8.4, Copyright ©2000-2010, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
