View Full Version : Is morrissey really west ham? Budgie Byrne June 11, 2003, 01:22 PM david June 11, 2003, 02:13 PM "you're Gonna Need West Ham on Your side",I've honestly got no idea why he said that.He isn't a fan of the Hammers, he used to be a Man United fan but these days he's not interested in football, or so he says Shopfitter on fire June 11, 2003, 02:32 PM I really think that it wasn't West Ham that was interesting to Morrissey so much as the fact that there was a West Ham boys club. There's more to West Ham than the football team - it's a place. It's all connected with the rough-tough east London thing - boxing - Reggie & Ronnie - Dagenham Dave - Isle of Dogs etc etc aesthetic. Somehow 'Surbiton Ladies Lacrosse Club' wouldn't have had the same look on the T-shirts! Hasn't he worn retro Blackburn and Aston Villa footbal shirts on stage? > "you're Gonna Need West Ham on Your side",I've honestly got no > idea why he said that.He isn't a fan of the Hammers, he used to be a Man > United fan but these days he's not interested in football, or so he says vBulletin® v3.8.4, Copyright ©2000-2010, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
