He did, according to www.morrisseytour.com, changing its lyrics partly. Then he went on to do Bigmouth. It was all acustic, during a power cut.

FIRST, MOZ DID NOT JUST COME UP WITH HIS LYRICS. I KNOW HE SEES HIMSELF AS SOME KIND OF MODERN DAY WILDE OR CAPOTE - BUT HE HAD SOURCE MATERIAL.

SO MARR CAN GO AND CHANGE WHAT HE LIKES.
AT LEAST MARR IS WHAT HE IS AND ISNT A HYPOCRITE FUCK HEAD LIKE MORRISSEY.

Morrissey has changed the lyrics of many of the cover versions he has performed.

BUt THEY WERE OTHERS. IT'S REALLY DIFFERENT. IMAGINE HE CHANGED A SMITHS TUNE. HE MAY WELL BE THREATENED.

Morrissey has changed the lyrics of Smiths songs live while performing them solo. "Is It Really So Strange?" & "Death At One's Elbow" spring to mind. I'm sure there are instances as well.

Mindy, did you read the WHOLE post, including what I was responding to?
Those are the lyric changes that Johnny made to 'Cemetry Gates' when he sang it in Berlin. Allegedly.
I'll try to spell out the whole story next time in...nice...easy...steps so everyone understands.
And , hey, Terror, I'll have you know that my four psychiatrists say I'm coming on leaps and bounds.
And the guy from the rubber room down the corridor has often told me that he doesn't understand why I'm there. Then again, there isn't much he DOES understand. Oh dear.
