does anyone know if morrissey ever mentioned the 'brill building' in a lyric in one of his songs?.... i have this piece of a song that i can't place in my head, and it mentions the brill building (as in, uses those words) and for some reason i thought it may have been a morrissey song. if not, would anyone have any clue of what song i could be thinking of?

I don't ever recall Moz singing about the Brill Building. It sounds like it might be something Stephin Merritt would sing, but I can't say for sure.

thank you SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much! as soon as you mentioned stephin merritt it all made sense. i pulled out '69 love songs' and sure enough the song 'epitaph for my heart' was the one--"who'll take its ashes and, singing, fling them from the top of the brill building." not quite sure why i thought it was morrissey, force of habit maybe...
