rhcp are great. their newer stuff is lacking, but they are still a classic classic band and deserve all the mainstream success they get.

i think if they were trying to be cool, they'd have said TQID or something. the RHCP don't have to "try" to be cool anyway. who are they trying to impress? they've been around nearly 20 years and have more fans than moz does! i'm not saying that to be disparaging. it's just the truth. besides, a lot of their fans are either into punk or mainstream alternative rock -- not exactly the smiths core audience. it's not like kids with a bunch of tattoos who headbang are going to go, wow, flea and them listen to the smiths. they are SO cool. so i ask again who exactly would they be trying to impress?
