A very Happy New Year to all my friends in Moz land. Edinburgh has finally settled down and a degree of normality has returned to the city...well until tonight anyway.
I have spent a lot of time decorating over the festive period(sad I know). The woman who lived here before me had a strange fascination with the colour mustard. Not only were the living room walls painted this colour but also the ceiling!! It was like living inside a giant banana:)
So I have been busily painting away with the windows open in sub zero temperatures. my neighbours think I am nuts.
To help while away the hours I have been playing some C.D's I rarely or never play.
This has been the playlist.

1) Toots and The Maytals - 20 Big Hits
2) The Ronnettes - The Buddha Years
3) The Doves _ Lost Souls
4) Nico - Chelsea Girls
5) Kate Bush - Greatest hits
6) The Chords - So Far Away
7) Special AKA - in The Studio
Cornershop
9) House Of Love - Greatest Hits
10)Morrissey - Sputhpaw Grammar

What I was wondering was if anyone else had some C.D's that they only played when carrying out specific ,usually unwanted , tasks?.Not the havinbg sex topic. That has been done to death
One thing it has made me realise is what a brilliant album Southpaw is.Definitely an overlooked masterpiece. It is time this work was given a critical reappraisal.

Right....now where is that paint brush?.

Magnus Uggla - 100% Uggla
Forrest Gump soundtrack
Black 47 - Bleecker Street...
Pete Yorn - Music For The Morning After
Pretenders - Isle of View
New Wave Hits of the 80s Volume I
Stray Cats - Runaway Boys

The above I listen to when doing wonderfully fun things like cleaning house, washing the car, cleaning the garage, tending to the garden, entertaining annoying people, etc.
