OK, Here's a question for all of you who are saying "Morrissey, ditch your current band/songwriters and move on!" If we assume that bridges are burned with past collaborators and that he's not going to start recording 'spoken word' albums, WHO do you think he should get together with?

Let's try and live in the world of slight feasibility here, and pick people who might be available and amenable. So no, "He should get REM to sack Michael Stipe and be his backing band instead."

Begin.

Well, why would it have to be someone who's already a star?

But I don't wanna take part in this. I love Boz and Alain and Gary!!!!!!!!!!!
AAhh!! You guys all suck! I'd say Deano/Dino or whatever too, but I don't know him yet.

I always thought Morrissey could make good music with Bernard Butler. Hell, I don't know. Can't think of any bands worth poaching at the moment.

To keep it interesting, if nothing else. It would be a pretty boring discussion if we suggest people no one has ever heard of.

For example: My sister's boyfriend plays guitar, and he's really good. Maybe he should work with him?
Doesn't really fire the imagination, does it.

I think Bernard and Morrissey are both so high maintenance that the chances of that ever succeeding would be slim. He needs someone with no ego that doesn't gi'im any lip!

Cheers,

i love the lads, but if worse came to worse, what about the dudes from the sweet and tender hooligans? but that would suck because it would leave jose out in the cold - and he rocks. but they are really good musicians just the same.

billy corgan isnt doing much lately...

damon albarn

hmmmm....

fuck this. the lads are good. any musicians who would wave to a geek like me have got hearts of gold.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGHH HHHHHHHHHHHHH! Shame on you Mindy! I will only let you off on that one because you were a Mormon until recently and therefore deserve a break, and because you have only been to see 4 bands in your life. One of which was SATH. Poor girl.

Got a new band called Zwan, with Jimmy Chamberlain.

> damon albarn

Erm, he's a singer, can't quite see the relevance. What Morrissey DOESN'T need is a not-nearly-as-good-as-him singer. Plus Damon has his head so far up his arse no one will be able to hear him sing anyway.

i know billy has a new band. but he always seems willing to take on new projects.

and as for damon albarn, i meant he might be good as a producer.
