View Full Version : Unhappy Birthday
Johnny September 12, 2002, 12:10 PM Sooo.. 31st August is my birthday but unfortunately that well know clothes horse with a £40,000 a month make-up bill(also knows as Princess Diana) died on it 5 years ago.
The people of Britain were told that this was as good a reason as any to start a period of national mourning even though no one was really sure why or what we were mourning.
My predicament is that every year now on my birthday the News is full of blue rinsed pensioners from Sothend wittering on the National News about how she was "The Queen of Hearts". It is sooo depressing.
The upshot is I have decided to adopt a new birth date. Can anyone suggest a date I can adopt and also a reason for doing so.
Love one another

That's funny! Very good, well done.
Vauxhall Driver September 12, 2002, 01:15 PM My mate Darren has his birthday on September 11th, how bad is that?
My little fella was born exactly 1 week before Lady Di died, luckily enough I looking after him so I was busy enough for it all to pass me by at the time but Im sure every year it's going to become less important.

Billy Budd September 12, 2002, 01:55 PM You should be glad I'll be doing Cart Wheels if the Queen snuffs it on my birthday, which isn't too far away, so who knows, watch this space. I might have to leave out the cart wheels though seen as its my 39th birthday which is coming up.

Be nice to say hello and enjoy the pre match tension together if you fancy it.. I'll try and arrnge something with tingle and/or Girl Drowning.. although knowing Morrissey is about to 'give it up' for his home boys (and girls) is a massive distraction for convivial chit chat!!! Is Billy Budd coming as well??
Ruffian (not from Rusholme I might add though watch for the T-shirt!)

Yep! that sounds great. I don't want to stir some already murky waters but really this tour starts when the big fella lands in the U.K
Just let me know where you are all meeting and I will be there. Catherine Wheel?
Tingle September 12, 2002, 04:49 PM It's a pub handy for High St Kensington tube station and the Royal Albert Hall. There just isn't a pub right next door to the venue I'm afraid (well not that I know of).
It's at the southern end of Kensington Church Street (number 23)
And the link is a map. The RAH is just off to the east of the map.
It's my intention to be there from about 4:30, Toblerone in pocket.
but please don't blame me if it's crap because I don't really know it.
