Hello,

I'm just wondering if anyone has done a "Stars In Their Eyes" perfomance of Morrissey. Our social club at work is doing this for the next shing-dig, and I'm toying with the idea of doing "This Charming Man". Dedicated to the girl in HR who I gave the compilation tape to. Oh and when she keeps saying "we" as in her new flat, does this mean a bloke? I have also thought of doing the Manics "Stay Beautiful" or dear old Sid with "My Way".

Has anyone done a Morrissey "Stars In Their Eyes"? How did it go? I don't want to look like a complete tosser up there!

Yes, Harry Hill was Morrissey. He's obviously a big fan (as is I think poet/ comedian John Hegley). Harry was quite exciting but I squirmed a bit, embarrassed for him. He was dragged up with the beads and the quiff and made a big thing of whirling flowers around - like you do.

But I wondered what percentage of the prime-time Saturday evening ITV show knew who Morrissey is? He didn't win anyhow. I think I have it on tape somewhere.

Bye-the-bye when it came up in conversation at a veggie Bar B Q last weekend that I'm going to see Morrissey next week the response I got from one bloke was "Hang the DJ, Right?".

"We" could mean she has a girlfriend as a flatmate couldn't it? Just like yourself, and myself.

Do Mozzer, he needs the publicity.
I've been telling everyone I see that I'm going watching Oasis & Morrissey in the same week, they all go on about how good the new Oasis l.p. is compared to their last couple of offerings & I go on to tell them that Our Moz ain't put owt out since 1997 ain't gorra a record deal but can still sell out the fkin royal albert hall 2 nights on the bounce & it's midweek.
I left the North I travelled South, for 1 night only (sadly).
