No he didn't! He wrote a song about the Moors murders, which happenned over 30 years ago. He handled the subject in a sensitive manner. If he'd used a composite pic of himself hugging Myra Hindley, the situation would have been different.

These two girls bodies, in whose death Maxine Carr was involved, were only discovered just over a week ago, so it is grossly crass for anyone to make light of the situation.
