View Full Version : To Those Of You Who Are Attacking Morrissey..
3/4 Of A Person July 25, 2002, 08:50 PM ...This is a wake-up call. I understand that a lot of you are hurt, angered, disappointed and upset at the cancellations, and have perhaps wasted a lot of money. However, that does not give you the right to personally attack the man. So, he cancelled a few shows. Sorry, but get over it. It's a damn concert. Morrissey is Morrissey. He fucks up now and again, but so does every other person in the world. Give the man a break, he deserves it.
Mr. Pooper July 25, 2002, 09:14 PM and Just why does he deserive a break?
Poops for all!

Because he is a tender and gentle man, don't you think the things you say are hurtful? I am sorry but he is a real human being that does not need uninvited guests at his home, dents in his car, and constant critizism over matters that are completely out of his control.
The Real 3/4 Of A Person July 25, 2002, 09:38 PM Although you just stole my username, I agree with your sentiments.

Who are you?
How do you know so much about Morrissey's feelings?

3/4 Of A Person July 25, 2002, 10:18 PM Who are you?
I am but a fan, who respects the man who has given me so much pleasure through the music he creates. Nothing more, nothing less.
Stop going to his house, harassing his gardener, or whatever else it is you do. Leave him alone. He doesn't owe you anything, so show him some damn respect. Everyone has their flaws, yet his are magnified tenfold and made out to be hideous and grotesque deeds. Give the man a break.

I have a feeling you are holding back on us.
Unless you are his personal friend, I don't think you should be reading his mind for him.

I don't think you should make presumptions, it's very dangerous.

Moz consistently does so(cancels and costs us money).
Give the man a break,
> he deserves it.
He's done with breaks. I see from a lot of folks here that they agree.
I'm going to switch to SUEDE. Brett may be a priss, but he's got moe class and disappoints a lot less than MOZ. The new SUEDE songs are fantastic.

I expect you to cease your threating tone.

Wow that sounds like a threat to me, it's a crime to threaten people.

Liberace July 26, 2002, 01:13 AM However, that does not give you the right to

But I believe the fans deserve some kind of explanition, don't they?

Wendy Woo-hoooo?
POOPER July 26, 2002, 01:25 AM > Wendy Woo-hoooo?
I what I was thinking
If Wendy truely cared about Morrissey she would encourage him to be more accessible to his fans. Either give all you got or retire.
I have a nice big tasty Poop for Wendy, come on Wendy open wide it's hot and steamy.
Poop on you!
3/4 Of A Person July 26, 2002, 08:55 PM Somehow, I knew that my message would get the same tired, repulsive, immature responses as anyone does when they post something actually worth reading on here.
Who is Wendy? And who was being threatening? Not me. I was simply stating that making presumptions can often cause unwanted trouble.
I am merely a fan who has been reading these pages for the past few months, and decided that enough is enough. Get over these cancellations. There will be other shows. How dare you personally attack a man with faults and failings like the rest of us. Call yourselves fans? It's some money. So you lost out on it. It's a CONCERT. Past experience should have taught you that shows on Morrissey tours will often be cancelled or postponed. Leave Morrissey the hell alone and I'll say it again, show him some damn respect.

If people didn't travel to Morrissey shows and only people in the town he was playing went to his shows, he'd only sell out LA and NY or *tiny* venues in other cities. He should have some damn respect for the travelers who enable him to play more than 2 cities in the states and to play in large venues that deliver a bigger payday for him.
That said, some of you travelers should keep this in mind: never book plane tickets for a show until the tour actually begins. Yer less likely to get burnt that way.
3/4 Of A Person July 26, 2002, 09:51 PM Nonsense.
Morrissey doesn't even have to tour in America; he could tour in Europe, and sell out every show.
Morrissey does not ask you to travel to his concerts- I'm sure he's appreciative and I'm sure that he's flattered- but he does not ask you to make these arrangements. This, I'm afraid, as Even put it, is your own decision. YOUR responsibility.
