...Why does he have to be so secretive about his projets? It's not his personal life! Why can't he just say what his album plan is? Or simply say he hasn't got any?

because i don't think he's ever worked out the distinction between his personal and his recording life.

He has the right to make his own decisions.

Sometimes Moz could be a pain in the butt (like 90% of the last 5 years), but what could we do? Let's just hope he will be back to his creative peaks of olde goode Glory Days of Smiths and later Bona Drag and Your Arsenal... Sigh.

Ah, but didn't he say clearly some months ago that he had an album's worth of songs ready to go and was just waiting for a label to release em? Just because eveveryone in this forum didn't believe him doesn't mean he didn't say what he was up to.

But isn't it rather ridiculous that this artist has been sitting on these unreleased tracks for soooooooo long, only because he hasn't found this Holy Grail of a record label? Even Prince and XTC hadn't taken this long, given their respective record label woes...had they?

I'm happy to know he'll be touring soon (though nowhere NEAR where I am, damn him), but Moz, we need some new material!!! C'mon! A single! A previously unreleased track! A photospread in GQ!! Anything!!!

We collectively ask Moz: "Where is the beef (of an album)"?
Or, on account of Mozzer vegetarianism: "Where is your vegetarian soy-cooked faux-beef of an album"?

You guys obviously don't read at all
Since Merc. fell, Morrissey has no label.
No one will sign him, everyone knows he is a pain in the ass!

I am glad he is not putting out any new material
I am content to see him live.

All I need in another stab in the heart (aka, another crap album!)
