i was wondering if anyone else remembers this or is it my imagination. i'm 75% sure that i saw morrissey a few years ago (maybe 6 or 7) on a music quiz show on bbc, kind of like the "never mind the buzzcocks" setup. it could have been for charity,(like children in need) i don't know. i wasn't into him or the smiths at the time, but i remember it because he was the funny bloke with the hair. am i imagining this? please tell me i'm not going insane....

actually, in retrospect, i doubt it was for charity.

Gasping, but some how still alive...

This could have been pop quiz from the 1980's during the smiths period. I have a freind who has it on video. This is interesting viewing with a very uncomfortable looking morrissey on it. I don't think he's done anything simular since.

I know that Morrissey appeared on 'PopQuiz' hoasted by, could we ever forget?, Mike Read. Morrissey said in a radio show that he hated doing it "it was like doing Widow Twanky in pantomime...." he said. Must have been around 1984.

1992 he performed We Hate It When Our Friends Become Successful.

My memory isn't great but I think it was for Amnesty and was on ITV...

thanks everyone....

maybe it was repeated footage from 1984. it definitely wasn't that far back, though, because i was only born that year, so obviously impossible for me to remember...
