Lifeguard Sleeping

As some of you (who bother to pay attention to me) know, I moved from Connecticut to Kentucky to attend university.
Since I'm broke as hell, I thought it wouldn't be possible to get to see Belle and Sebastian in NYC, but, as it turns out, they will be playing on May 5th, which is Greek Easter, so there's a chance my folks will spring for a plane ticket back to CT to celebrate with the family.
Anyway, I've never been to Hammerstein Ballroom, but (if I'm not mistaken), it's basically general admission on the floor, with a whole bunch of balconies around it. I tried buying a ticket yesterday, but all they had was "mezzanine," and I think it was the second level.
My questions:
1. If I end up buying a ticket which reads "mezzanine," does that mean that I won't be able to make it to the floor?
2. Is there ANYONE out there who would be willing to sell me a floor ticket???
PLEASE help a Moz sistah out!!! I've never seen B&S and I missed them the last time around because I was stuck in this hell-hole of Louisville, KY - this time, I actually have a chance to see them in my own backyard!
The only other choice I have is to see them in Chicago - a 5-hour drive from here...and I'm not sure if I'll be able to get two consecutive weekends off from work, as the Chicago show is a week after Greek Easter (in which I'll most likely be in CT).
I'm SO SORRY for this long and pathetic email, but I'm DESPERATE and time is running out to purchase tickets!
Please help!! :***(
Thanks so much!
