This was sold on EIL a few years ago.

I stole the image, downloaded the mp3, added them to my iTunes so I can pretend I own this record:

How do you do that? By which I mean use some of your own artwork for the iTunes gallery-type-thing?

Hey Peter,
this is how you do it:

1) Select all the songs from the album you want to add artwork to:

http://img143.imageshack.us/img143/8548/itunes1.png

2) Once the songs are selected, you can right-click them and go to "Get Info". The keyboard shortcut for that is CTRL+I if you're on Windows or Command+I if you're on a Mac:

3) Drag the cover image to the Artwork field and click OK:

4) Rejoice:

PS.: You can also add back cover and other images related to that record to iTunes.

If you want to add back and front cover, you Get Info, then drag the back cover first and then the front cover. iTunes will only display the front in your library but to view the back, you can click those arrows next to "Selected Item" on the Artwork Viewer on the bottom left corner:

Flax, question about your Morrissey iTunes collection.
when you have stuff labeled as "promo 7" or 12" did you actually rip the vinyl? or did you just paste songs together/relabel? so do you have My Love Life CD Single and My Love Life 12" etc..?
not that it really matters either way. just curious.

When the vinyl has a unique version, then I rip from it using a USB turntable.

So some of it is ripped from the vinyl, some of it is just manually put together from the CDs. If the songs are identical on both vinyl and CD, I pick the CD version as my turntable is not working very well.
